		<description>On the Indian Agent issue: one of the most famous ones was Henry Rowe Schoolcraft who was stationed in Michigan (Sault Ste. Marie, Mackinac Island, and Detroit at various times) and is the author of several authoritative works on the native Americans of the Great Lakes region.  Schoolcraft&#039;s works were the basis for Longfellow&#039;s epic poem Hiawatha. Schoolcraft was married to a woman who was half Indian.</description>
