The Riverwalk Tour

This tour will be available starting May 25th and will run every Tuesday at 7:00PM and every Friday at 10:30AM.

The tour is 90 minutes and is 20$.

The prettiest of all my Chicago walking tours, this tour uses the new and improved riverwalk to see the buildings usually only seen by boat. But this tour shows you the best buildings on the river using just our own two feet! We’ll see the Merchandise Mart, Trump Tower, 333 N. Wacker and the greatest corner of any city in the world at Michigan and Wacker. This will be a heavily architecture-influenced tour, we’ll be talking about building styles like Modernism, Art Deco and Beaux-Arts. We’ll also see the city from the prettiest vantage points around.

Start: SW corner of Wacker and Wabash in front of the statue of George Washington (and friends!)

Distance: About a mile, good amount of walking, stairs, ramps, curbs included.

Purchase tickets for the Friday at 10:30 Riverwalk Tour

Purchase tickets for the Tuesday at 7PM Riverwalk Tour

“I really have no knowledge of architecture, but was eager to learn more about the key buildings along the Chicago River. Margaret’s knowledge of the buildings, it’s history, and design elements really opened up our eyes, and we have walked by these buildings countless times without even a care. We now have an increased appreciation of the area that the tour has provided. We are looking forward to scheduling a different tour with Margaret in the near future.” Sam from Algonquin
